Scots: excluded by ‘inclusivity’

Several papers report that in a new “inclusive language guide” the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland (ICAS) urges members to avoid “some words used frequently in Scotland [that] might confuse someone raised elsewhere in the UK”.  The online version of the guide does not seem to include that phrase now, but the response of the not-always-pro-Scots press was interesting.
